Vietnam Bestows Medal on WB Environment Official

The Vietnamese Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment decorated the Medal for the Cause of Natural Resources and Environment on Mr Douglas J. Graham, Environment Sector Coordinator at the World Bank, in Hanoi on July 10, 2012.

 

Douglas John Gramham is an environment sector coordinator at the World Bank. During his term (2007-2012), he made a lot of tremendous contributions to the Vietnamese natural resources and environment sector and created a strengthened cooperative relationship between the World Bank and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, especially in projects relating to industrial pollution control, climate change, biodiversity conservation, etc.

 

The World Bank’s active supports for and contributions to environmental projects helped Vietnam implement its international commitments to green growth and biodiversity conservation. This event expresses the recognition and guarantee of cooperative relationship between the WB and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment as well as other environmental authorities.
