Fostering Knowledge of Economic and Banking Restructuring
With the aim of supporting finance and banking journalists to understand objectives and solutions of economic and banking system restructuring to produce objective and accurate reportages, the Centre for Fostering Journalism Skills under the Press Authority collaborated with the Vietnam Prosperity Bank (VPBank) to organise two training courses on economic and banking system restructuring for journalists staffed in news agencies in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Speakers are top-notch economists in Vietnam, namely Dr Le Xuan Nghia - Former Vice Chairman of the National Financial Oversight Committee, Dr Vo Tri Thanh - Deputy Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM), and officials from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the Press Authority, and VPBank. More than 100 finance and banking journalists attended the courses.
Highly practical courses provided updated information and knowledge as well as holistic, multi-dimensional views on public investment, corporate restructuring, banking restructuring and State policies for journalists.
