Vietnam - Laos Border Cultural, Sports and Tourism Exchange 2012

The Vietnam - Laos Border Cultural, Sport and Tourism Exchange 2012 took place on August 18, 2012 in Ha Tinh province.

 

This event commemorates the 35^th signing anniversary of the Amity Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 - 2012), and the 50^th anniversary of diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - 2012).

 

The purposes of the programme are to promote cooperation and assistance between localities of the two countries, especially border regions, to develop economic, cultural and social lives; raise living standards, spiritual and material life for both peoples; and ensure national security and defence, a peaceful borderline, stability and development. Exchange activities will introduce ethnical cultural identities, thus helping boost investment, develop culture, sports and tourism between the two nations.
