The Vietnamese and Lao Ministers of Justice agreed in their talks on September 4 in Ha Noi that the two sides will continue to prioritize assisting each other in training judicial officials.
Vietnamese Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong and his Lao counterpart Chaleune Yiapaoheu said the two ministries will join hands to help the two countries’ 10 border provinces to strengthen their cooperation on law, justice, and socioeconomic development.

Under the signed bilateral cooperation agreements, Laos’ law universities have worked with Viet Nam’s counterparts to discuss feasible solutions to translate these agreements into action.

Minister Yiapaoheu affirmed that Laos will make greater efforts to foster the traditional friendship between the two countries in general and the two ministries in particular.

After hearing Viet Nam’s socioeconomic development and its law-making process and orientation, the Lao Minister said Laos wants to learn experiences from Viet Nam’s justice sector, especially its juridical reform.
