The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) said the United States Department of Commerce (DOC) had announced the final results of the 6th antidumping duty administrative review (POR6) on certain warmwater shrimp imported from Vietnam into the US in the period of February 1, 2010 to January 31, 2011. Many Vietnamese shrimp companies are imposed antidumping tax of 1.25 percent, lower than 2.51 percent rate subjected to India and 1.38 percent to Thailand.

There are some changes in the results compared to the preliminary determination published in March 2012. The average margin assigned for two mandatory respondents (Minh Phu Group and Nha Trang Seafoods) is higher than in the preliminary results. The margin calculation for Minh Phu Group increased from 0.09 percent (de minimis) to 1.27 percent; Nha Trang Seafoods margin rate up from 0 percent to 1.23 percent; Camimex margin rate up from 0.8 percent to 1.25 percent. Other companies also have the tax increase from 1.03 percent to 1.25 percent.
