Ebooks Seminar: New Trend of Digital Technology Era
Thai Ha Books JSC in collaboration with development research company Alezaa.com opened a conference entitled “Ebooks: New Trend of Digital Technology Era” and introduced the first Ebooks version to foreign markets at the Giang Vo Exhibition Centre in Hanoi on September 18, 2012.
The workshop introduced Alezaa’s A2 Ebooks version - the first interactive ebook produced by a Vietnamese company. The book is integrated with audios, videos and images instead of passive contents published in conventional books. Interactive books help readers remember longer and understand more deeply the contents. Together interactive books from other publishers, A2 Ebooks not only blow a breath of fresh air into the publishing industry which has been fraught with difficulties in recent times but also set the stage for a later strong innovation of education.
At the meeting, Thai Ha Books and Alezaa.com signed a strategic cooperation contract concerning ebook development. This was the first time in Vietnam a multilingual publication is published to approach foreign markets and this was the first book displayed in five languages in the form of interactive books. The “Art of Vietnamese water puppetry” book will be announced at the Frankfurt International Book Fair.
