Canon Hands over Friendship Schools in 2012 Programme

Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd recently organised a ceremony to hand over two new classrooms to Kim Minh Primary School in Phuc Son commune, Chiem Hoa district, Tuyen Quang province.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Katsuyoshi Soma, General Director of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd, said: "Children are the future of every country, and education is the most important cause of the country. Creating a good learning environment for children means that we can cultivate talents for the country development." He said he also hoped that, through social activities like this, the friendship between Japan and Vietnam will be closer.

 

Together will two well-built classrooms, Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd awarded the Canon - Kim Minh Friendship School two bookcases, 26 table sets, and gifts to students and teachers.

 

Previously, 50 members of the "Canon volunteer network for social and cultural activities” supported Kim Minh Primary School to assemble furniture and Canon bookcases. Besides, they participated in cultural exchange and fundraising programme called "For the country’s children” organised by Phuc Son Commune People’s Committee.
