Renewing Green Economy
In response to the “Clean Up the World” Campaign 2012, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a seminar on "Investment for new and renewable energy sources towards building a green economy in Vietnam" to make an overview of energy utilisation situations in general and clean and renewable energy development in particular, aiming to determine the role of green economy for sustainable development.
The workshop focused on clarifying potentials and current models of clean energy exploitation performed by localities and businesses. Da Nang City was hailed for clean energy production projects.
As renewable energy production projects require huge investment capital and high cost and support policies and mechanisms are inconsistent, the implementation is still difficult.
