Vietnam, German State Sign Cooperation Deal

Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan recently received the Governor of the German state of Hessen, Mr Volker Bouffier. The two sides signed a priority cooperation deal.
 
Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan said that the prioritized fields for bilateral cooperation include economy, trade, investment, education, training, judicial cooperation, and cultural exchange.
 
The Deputy PM proposed Hessen authorities continue to encourage and support its firms to invest and do business in Viet Nam, and create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises such as Vietnam Airlines and Vietinbank to operate well in the state.
 
Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s determination in converting the Viet Nam-Germany University, scheduled to start operation in 2016, into a leading university in the country. He hoped Hessen authorities continue to support the project, especially supplying funds, curricular and lecturers.
 
The Deputy PM also suggested Hessen help to establish an outstanding vocational training center in North Viet Nam to train workers for foreign companies.
 
Governor Volker Bouffier confirmed that Hessen always treasures cooperative ties with Viet Nam, and will help develop the strategic partnership between Germany and Viet Nam, through many bilateral cooperation agreements, especially in education and vocational training.
 
Mr Bouffier stressed that Hessen will create most favorable conditions for its firms to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in vocational training.
 
He also pledged to work with the Vietnamese Government to build the Viet Nam-Germany University as a regional and international facility.
