250 Businesses Join 2012 Vietnam Int’l Agriculture Fair
The 2012 Vietnam International Agriculture Fair (VIAF), themed “Cooperating for Agricultural Development, Promoting Exports, Building the New Rural Areas Model” will be held in Can Tho Province from November 15 to 21.
The event aims to boost agricultural productions and rural area development for the Mekong River Delta. The fair will offer opportunities for local businesses to honour brands, exchange technological experiences, attract investment, and expand association and joint venture, creating new opportunities for the Mekong River Delta to deeper integrate in the national economy.
The fair is expected to draw 250 businesses with 500 kiosks. Together with local businesses, businesses being joint-venture with Cuba, Chile, Denmark, Japan, India, Thailand, the US, France and the Netherlands will attend the fair.
Displays include machinery, agricultural equipment, production lines, processed products, fertilisers, pesticides, animal feed and medicines, aquatic products, seeds, furniture, fruit, and agricultural projects from the central and southeastern regions, as well as from the Mekong River Delta.
VIAF is an annual event of the National Trade Promotion Programme to be jointly sponsored by the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
