Nearly VND80 Billion Invested in Disadvantaged Provinces

Humanitarian constructions worth VND80 billion have been completed in the disadvantaged provinces of Cao Bang, Thanh Hoa and Dak Lak by the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank).
 
In the central province of Thanh Hoa, VietinBank inaugurated 61 houses for poor families, 17 schools and three medical stations, together with medical equipment for the Thanh Hoa provincial general hospital. The constructions have been built with VND56 billion.
 
Earlier, in September 2012, VietinBank granted six ambulances for hospitals, and a communal cultural house in Dinh Tan commune, Yen Dinh district is being built with capital of VND3 billion, to be completed in early 2013.
 
In the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang, the bank has handed over 20 boarding houses with 125 rooms worth VND20 billion for pupils in 20 schools. In addition, the bank has given 500 iron bunk beds and 1,000 sets of blankets, mats and pillows worth VND2.125 billion to schools.
 
In the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, the bank has inaugurated 81 houses of unity, one high-quality ambulance and repaired a boarding school while presenting household appliances for families.
 
Since early 2010, VietinBank has assisted localities with VND45.743 billion toward realizing social welfare programs.
