RMIT Vietnam Celebrates 2012 Graduation Ceremonies
RMIT International University Vietnam recently celebrated its graduation ceremonies in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremonies this year took the total number of graduates from RMIT in its 11 years in Vietnam past the 5000 mark.
“The ceremony was the culmination of one journey for the graduates and the beginning of another. All our graduates have a passport to a wide world of opportunities in different industries and in different countries. They are well prepared to build on their education through work or further study, and to make a difference to their communities and their country throughout their careers,” said RMIT Vietnam President Professor Joyce Kirk.
The Vice Chancellor and President of RMIT University Australia, Professor Margaret Gardner told graduates that RMIT was very proud of the achievements of its students in Vietnam, including those who had recently been amongst the winners of an international business planning competition for students staged by RMIT in Australia. “You are part of a generation that has benefited from the internationalisation of higher education, and as graduating RMIT students, you can be confident that your qualification has international recognition,” added Professor Gardner.
RMIT is in its 125th year of operation, and has more than 75,000 students studying across the region.
