“Good PPP Examples in Infrastructure Development”

This is the topic of the seminar organised in Hanoi by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam and the United States Embassy. This is part of cooperation framework of Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI) Programme.

 

The event aimed to share public - private partnership (PPP) information and experience in infrastructure development among Mekong countries and other regions in the world.

 

The seminar drew the attendance of more than 100 foreign delegates representative of agencies involved in trade, investment, transport, energy, infrastructure development and financial resources, and big companies of the United States and Lower Mekong countries (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar) engaged in energy, telecommunications, aerospace, port industry, railway and terrestrial road, agriculture, construction, engineering and finance.

 

At the function, businesses were informed of policy updates from the US government and Lower Mekong countries, good PPP examples and experience in infrastructure development in the Mekong region and other countries around the world. Besides, this was a good opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to meet and exchange cooperation opportunities with large businesses in the US and other countries.
