2012 - a year full of challenges – has gone by. This is the time for businesses to review their operations fraught with difficulties. Being unable to steer away general hardships, Savimex Corporation also faced much pressure. However, with the effort, dynamism and aggressiveness of the entire company in personnel, business orientation, and customer cooperation, Savimex has successfully escaped those difficulties.
Perhaps, the accurate positioning and assertiveness in decisions related to governance and innovation demonstrated the determination and vision of the corporation’s leadership in the past year. The firm enjoyed higher revenue growth than in 2011.
Restructuring also helps the corporation determine key markets and export strengths. On this basis, in 2012, Savimex had robust export growth.
Besides, the corporation upgraded the management system to ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 14001 standards, while actively investing in new technological lines, enhances technical management measures, and encourages its employees to contribute innovative ideas to increase product quality and attract more domestic and foreign customers. Moreover, the corporation always takes care of employees. The certification of SA8000 standard in November 2012 is a real example.
It is quite clear that all Savimex products contain high responsibility to the community. All products with high added value contribute to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese export wood processing industry.
Speaking of development orientations, CEO Bui Ngoc Quoi said Savimex will focus on two groups of measures in the coming time: i) intensive investment for export furniture, wooden furniture, interior furniture and decorations for the domestic market; and ii) building up quality and stable human resources.
To implement these two solutions, the flexibility, determination and bravery of the leadership, as well as the effort and struggle of all staff, are decisive factors. The corporation focuses on market research to survey consumer tastes in both traditional and potential areas. Therefore, its new products always meet market requirements.
In 2012 and the next years, difficulties and challenges linger because global and domestic economies are uncertain. But, Savimex strives to surmount and maintain its industry leader position in export processing wood in Vietnam. Under the motto “Creating strong foundation for sustainable development,” the company constantly maintains and develops its high-quality human resources to adapt to new market development.
From its achievements in the past time to objectives for the upcoming time, Savimex is confident of getting through potential hardships and challenges in 2013.
