BUSADCO: "Scientific and Technological Business"

As a leading water drainage company, Busadco has carried out many important water and environmental protection projects in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. In 2012, despite economic downturn, the company maintained the progress of investment projects, created a positive shift in social, economic and environmental development of the province and the entire country as well. The firm earned a profit of VND13.5 billion in 2012, equal to 106.72 per cent of the full-year plan and the return on equity (ROE) rate reached 24.92 per cent.

 

Currently, Busadco is carrying out some very important ODA-funded projects like Vung Tau wastewater collection, treatment and discharging project (funded by France), and Ba Ria wastewater collection, treatment and discharging project (funded by Switzerland). The firm is also preparing for a wastewater collection, treatment and discharging project in Phu My village, Tan Thanh province. As regards State-funded projects in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Busadco has completed such projects as Ba Cu - Truong Cong Dinh - Bau Sen 3 drainage system in Vung Tau; wastewater drainage project from Phan Chu Trinh Street to Bau Sen and culvert construction project on the Bau Sen - Bau Trung - Rach Ba - Cua Lap route in Vung Tau, and sewer construction along National Road 51.

 

With its own capital, Busadco is carrying out the following projects: a housing, commercial and service complex on Road 51B, Ward 11 and Ward 12, Vung Tau City; concrete equipment production factory in Thai Binh province, Vung Tau tourism market, and Toc Tien mud treatment station in Tan Thanh district.

 

For Busadco, scientific and technological research and application has long become a regular and strategic activity. In 2012, the company achieved many successes in this field. It attained achievements in all three aspects: Mechanical engineering, biotech for environmental protection, and construction material technology.

 

The Busadco manufactured three mechanical engineering products: Winches for dredging city drainage sewers; vibration technology for precast reinforced thin-walled concrete; and tide-regulating sewer aimed at environmental recovery. Concerning biotech, the company devised domestic wastewater treatment facility. With respect to material technology, Busadco fabricated precast reinforced thin-walled concrete, an environment-protecting product. Busadco now has five factories in Ba Ria City, Nha Trang City, Vinh City, Hanoi City and Thai Binh province.

 

Busadco’s products have been applied in 48 out of 63 provinces and cities across the country, and exported. 12 provinces and cities expressed the intention to use Busadco’s technology, particularly multilateral ODA cooperation projects with WB and ADB. Bilateral cooperation projects with JICA, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and others have already applied Busadco technology to projects in Dong Hoi, Quy Nhon, Phu Yen and Nha Trang.

 

The company has been awarded 15 exclusive patents and utility solutions by the Ministry of Science and Technology; five certificates of technological compliance for nationwide application by the Ministry of Construction; quality certification by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality. The Ministry of Science and Technology confirmed that Busadco is one of the first three companies in Vietnam to be certified “business of science and technology.”

 

The company is performing scientific research on new equipment like a winch complex for sewer dredging and rainwater collection underground tanks.

 

With its endless efforts for scientific and technological research, in 2012, Busadco was honoured as one of the top 10 scientific and technological companies of the year. This is the fruit, pride and motivation for Busadco to contribute more to scientific research and environmental protection.
