Third ASEAN-EU Business Summit to Open in Hanoi

In conjunction with the 19th ASEAN Ministers Meeting Retreat, the third ASEAN-EU Business Summit will be held on March 8 - 9, 2013 in Hanoi, Vietnam by the European Union (EU), ASEAN, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam (MoIT), the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the EU - ASEAN Business Council, ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) and ASEAN Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ASEAN CCI).

 

This summit is a privileged and high level forum for dialogue between business and Government which aims to boost trade and investment between the EU and ASEAN, expected to attract 600 high-level domestic and international decision makers and business leaders. The sectors that will be covered during the summit include agricultural food, automotive, financial services, ICT, infrastructure/connectivity and pharmaceuticals. The results of the discussions will be presented to the 10 ASEAN trade ministers at the end of the summit, making it the ideal platform to advance private sector recommendations to policy makers on regional issues.
