Hanoi Portal and Hanoi IT World Launched

The Hanoi Portal was officially launched on October 15 in Hanoi after one year of establishment and testing by the Hanoi Technology and Information Committee and the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA).  

Hanoi Portal Phase 1 has become the administrative gate of the Hanoi People's Committee and the government at various levels with the aim of providing information, two-way exchange with citizens, and establishing a basis for putting public services online, contributing significantly to the administrative reform process of the city and laying the foundation for electronic government and trade. The portal deals with over 5,400 administrative procedures of all levels of government, Hanoi planning information, consulting services, on line QA services and general announcements.

VINASA and 26 member enterprises also opened a selected IT product display area called Hanoi IT World with an area of about 700 square metres. The Hanoi Technology and Information Committee, Hanoi IT Transaction Centre and VINASA hope that IT World will introduce new IT products and equipment to Hanoi , and act as a bridge between customers and IT service suppliers and enterprises. The display will also provide IT enterprises and city authorities with market feedback to enhance their decision making, aimed at promoting the rapid development of Hanoi ’s IT sector.
