Collecting Opinions on Climate Change Responses

The Government recently revealed a scheme for policies and solutions in response to climate change and environmental protection at its February meeting. Cabinet members said that the scheme should have more effective solutions to mobilising available resources, as well as international support for the purpose. In addition, the scheme also needs to sort and identify priority goals.

 

The scheme’s overall objectives towards 2020 are to gradually adapt to climate change, more actively avoid natural disasters, reduce the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions, create fundamental changes for the reasonable exploitation, and efficient and sustainable use of resources; curb the increasing level of environmental pollution and biodiversity reduction in order to ensure the quality of living environment and maintain ecological balance towards a green economy and environmental friendliness.
