More than US$8.2 Billion FDI Capital Attracted in Jan-Apr

The Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) said foreign direct investment (FDI) projects disbursed a total US$3.75 billion in the first four months of 2013, up 3.9 per cent from the same period in 2012.

 

Overall, the new FDI capital from fresh projects and existing projects totalled US$8.219 billion in the first four months of 2013, up 17 per cent year on year. Thus, FDI into Vietnam in the first 4 months equalled over a half of the value expected by the MPI in 2013 (US$15 billion).
