The Export Support Centre under the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) will organise the seminar on “Accelerating Vietnam - Africa - Middle East trade and investment promotion” in Hanoi on June 11, 2013. This event aims to boost economic and trade relations development between Vietnam and other countries in Africa and the Middle East and update market information for Vietnamese businesses.

Speakers include Mr Tran Quang Huy, Deputy Director of the Africa-West Asia-South Asia Markets Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr Vu Pham Hai, Director of the Northern Investment Promotion Centre under the Ministry of Planning and Investment; Mr Imamo Ben Mohamed Imamo, Administrator of Trade Support Strengthening Programme under the International Trade Centre (ITC); and senior representatives from the Embassy of South Africa and the Embassy of Mozambique in Vietnam.

With an average annual GDP growth of 5 percent, huge reserves of oil and gas, high prowess in biotech and petrochemical technology, and particularly a strong demand for Vietnam’s key exports, African and Middle Eastern markets are full of potential and opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises.
