Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Exports Top US$2.33 Billion in June
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said export turnover of agricultural, forest and aquatic products was estimated at over US$2.33 billion in June, grossing US$13.31 billion in the first six months of 2013, down 1.7 percent against the same period in 2012.
In particular, agricultural product export brought in US$6.80 billion, down 10.5 percent, seafood export turnover reached US$2.88 billion, up 0.9 percent, and forest product export valued over US$2.59 billion, up 12.4 percent.
Major exports in the first six months included black pepper, cashew nut, fruits, vegetables, and wooden products.
Key export markets were the EU, the US, ASEAN, South Korea, Japan, and China.
