Agricultural Export Credit Term Gets 3-Year Extension
At its regular meeting in early July, the Government agreed to extend credit terms for some agricultural exports by from 12 months to 36 months. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is responsible for assessing existing difficulties and obstacles for each agricultural export to identify beneficiaries and propose appropriate support measures.
The Government also asked the State Bank of Vietnam to regulate interest rates in line with macroeconomic developments and monetary market and boost credit growth. The central bank was also told to direct credit support for priority fields, restructure debts, continue lending to aquaculture and livestock farmers, and actively support credits for affordable housing purchases.
