Vietnamese Rice Starts to Enter Mexico
The Zone 2 Plant Quarantine Sub-Department of the Plant Protection Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said five Vietnamese businesses have sold more than 2,693 tonnes of rice to Mexico since early this year.
2013 is the first year Vietnam starts exporting rice to this market albeit with a modest volume. Shipments to this market may increase in the coming time if quality is ensured.
