VN, RoK Hold Strategic Dialogue

The second Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) Deputy Foreign Minister-level strategic dialogue on external relations, security and national defence was held on August 6 in Seoul.
 
The Vietnamese delegation was led by Deputy FM Ho Xuan Son and the Korean delegation was headed by RoK’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Kyou-hyun.
 
In a friendly atmosphere, the two sides informed each other about their foreign policies, exchanged international and regional issues of common concern including issues on the Korean Peninsula and the East Sea.
 
They agreed to contribute to maintaining peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
 
The two sides exchanged specific measures to promote bilateral ties in the coming time, especially in the areas of politics, foreign affairs, investment, trade, culture, energy, FTA and green growth.
 
The two Foreign Ministries and respective ministries would work closely in every field to cement and deepen the Vietnam-RoK strategic partnership.
 
They agreed to support each other at international and regional in such area as the UN, APEC, ASEAM, EAS and ASEAN-RoK cooperative framework.
 
The two sides agreed to organize the third strategic dialogue in 2014.
