Vietnam, Pakistan Deepen Pharmaceutical Cooperation

An executive delegation of 12 Pakistani pharmaceutical companies paid a working visit to Vietnam from September 8 to 12, 2013. The group was led by Mr Riaz Ahmed, Chairman of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association’s Export Committee and Director of the Shrooq Pharmaceutical Company. On this occasion, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) cooperated with the Embassy of Pakistan in Vietnam, the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) to organise a specialised meeting for Vietnamese and Pakistani pharmaceutical companies.
 
The visitors wanted to explore the market, meet drug makers, and seek trade and investment opportunities in Vietnam. According to VCCI, Vietnamese attending companies would have a lot of cooperation opportunities with Pakistani pharmaceutical companies.
 
Mr Riaz Ahmed said Pakistani companies are seeking cooperation in tablets, capsules, antibiotics, antimalarial drugs, analgesics or painkillers, syrups, injection drugs, diabetes medications, lotions, veterinary drugs, vitamins and other drugs.
