Warning Sounded on Fraudulent C/O of Solar Panels

Ms Tran Thi Thu Huong, Director of the Centre for Certifying Commercial Documents affiliated to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) warned that trade fraud and illegal transportation of solar batteries may come into sight in the future and recommended Vietnamese authorities, particularly the Foreign Investment Agency instruct companies with intention of manufacturing solar batteries in Vietnam to carefully learn about requirements, rules of origin as well as Vietnam’s legal regulations.

 

She also suggested the General Department of Vietnam Customs closely examine imported and exported solar batteries and collaborate with the Centre for Certifying Commercial Documents to prevent C/O fraud.
