HCM City Receives over 1.2M International Visitors

More than 1.2 million international tourists, mainly from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Australia and the US, have visited Ho Chi Minh so far this year, up 27 per cent over the same period last year, according to the city’s Tourism Department.  

The number is forecast to keep on rising in the coming months, particularly during the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Festival to be held in mid November. The city is planned to welcome 1.5 million international visitors by the end of 2004.
