China Resumes Live Shrimp Import from Vietnam

The National Agro Forestry Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (Nafiqad) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam said China has officially resumed live shrimp import from Vietnam after it blocked such imports in October 2012.

 

Nafiqad requested that shrimp exporters to China provide detailed and full information about farming areas and certification for imports to China before submitting application for certifications. In case exported shrimp has origins, exporters need to contact localities to be granted regional farming codes as required by China.
