Vietnam-RoK Friendship Week
On the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (Dec. 22, 1992 - Dec. 22, 2004), RoK Embassy in Hanoi in conjunction with Vietnam-RoK Friendship Association organises a Vietnam-RoK Friendship Week under the sponsorship of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, and Culture and Information.
The Friendship Week takes place on December 6-14, 2004 with several events taking place in the Daewoo Hotel, Hanoi Opera House and Giang Vo Exhibition Centre.
Speaking at a press conference on December 1, 2004, RoK Ambassador Yoo Tae-hyun said that a reception celebrating the 12th anniversary of diplomatic relations will be held on December 6, 2004 at Daewoo Hotel. Performance of the RoK Whangjinie Opera will take place on December 8 and 9 at the Hanoi Opera House with the participation of 45 Vietnamese artists.
An exhibition of Korean products made in Vietnam will be held on December 10-14. The week also includes competitions on Korean culture and songs with some important prizes. The week will be an opportunity for Vietnamese people to understand more about the land and people of Korea.
