More Projects Added to Coal Development Plan

The Prime Minister has agreed on recommendations by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on adjusting and supplementing a number of projects, schemes in developing Vietnam's coal industry. It is the Coal Industry Development Plan to 2020 with the vision to 2030 which was approved at Decision No 60/QD-TTg dated 9th January, 2012.
In particular, regarding proposals for exploration of coal resources in the Uong Bi – Dong Trieu - Pha Lai mining zone, the Prime Minister agreed to split the coal exploration scheme in Trang Bach and Southern Trang Bach into two separate schemes including: Trang Bach exploration scheme and Southern Trang Bach exploration scheme.
 
The Eastern Trang Bach are divided into two separate ones, including the Northeastern Trang Bach and Southeastern Trang Bach.
 
As for Hon Gai region, the Prime Minister also agreed to split coal exploration scheme in Suoi Lai into two independent exploration plan, including: the Northern Suoi Lai and the Southern Suoi Lai. 
 
The exploration plan in Nui Hong is added.
 
The project in Tan Yen and Eastern Trang Bach in the Uong Bi-Dong Trieu-Pha Lai mining zone will be split into two separate projects with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year and 450,000 tonnes per year, respectively.
 
Also added is the exploitation and improvement project in Southern Trang Bach with a capacity of 500,000 tonnes / year.
 
The Prime Minister also agreed to add the Cai Da-Suoi Lai mining zone with a capacity of 300,000 tones/ year; spilt the project into two separate phases with a capacity of 700,000 tonnes/ year and one million tonnes/year, respectively.
 
The exploratory project in Dong Da Mai mining zone in Cam Pha will be added with the capacity from 450,000 tonnes/ year up to 1,500,000 tonnes/ year; the project in the building area of Huong Phong Limited Company in Khe Tam mining with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes/ year, the project in Tay Nam Khe Tam with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes/ year.
 
The Prime Minister has asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with other ministries, sectors and localities to implement tasks mentioned above according to the current regulations.
