The World’s Biggest Trade Fair LIGNA 2015
LIGNA, to be held from 11-15 May 2015 in Hannover, Germany, is the leading market hub for wood industry innovations, fielding a rich offering of new keynote themes and high-tech solutions.
New focus themes at Ligna 2015: Integrated production for the wood and furniture industries; Processing of plastics, composites and other non-wood materials; Premiere of Wood Industry Summit
“LIGNA 2015 will take a high-tech look at the future of production. It will showcase machinery innovations for every link in the wood value chain, focusing on the growing convergence of classic production technologies and ICT,” said Dr. Jochen Köckler as the responsible member of Deutsche Messe’s Managing Board.
The other major new development at LIGNA 2015 is the premiere of the Wood Industry Summit, an intelligent, integrated platform comprising an exhibition area, a matchmaking platform, and a dialogue forum. The Summit will target exhibitors from international companies and economic regions that provide large-scale forestry machinery and other primary wood processing technologies.
There will be around 1,600 exhibitors from almost 50 countries will wow LIGNA 2015’s visitors with the latest furniture industry plant and equipment and innovative technologies for the wood and forestry industries. The exhibition program features technology solutions for all areas of the wood value chain, from forestry and sawmilling to solid wood working, the furniture industry, wood materials and veneer production the wood working trades, right through to wood-based bio-energy. The previous LIGNA show attracted 90,000 visitors from more than 90 countries.
