Vietnam - Hungary Business Matching

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Hungarian National Trading House hosted a business matching programme for Vietnamese and Hungarian companies at Hungary B1 Section at the Hanoi International Exhibition Centre (ICE) on December 3-5, 2014.
 
The programme took place in the framework of the 21st International Medical Exhibition held by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This was an annual international exhibition, which was attended by more than 120 companies from 18 countries and territories around the world, including 17 exhibitors from Hungary which specialised in medical devices health, hospital, functional foods and cosmetics.
This was an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to learn about products, technologies, policies and cooperation possibilities with Hungarian partners.
 
In recent years, economic and commercial cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary has developed positively. The two-way trade turnover reached US$148 million in 2013 and was estimated to top US$113.5 million in the first eight months of 2014. Vietnam mainly exported electric and electronic appliances, woodwork, equipment and spare parts for pumps, compressors, blowers and seafood, while importing pharmaceuticals, machines, parts, chemicals and animal feed from Hungary. Hungary invested 13 projects worth US$50 million in Vietnam as of December 2013, ranking 53rd out of 101 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.
