Every year at Christmas and New Year, the Vietnam Fashion Fair is organised jointly by the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre, Textile and Garment Corporation, Leather and Shoes Association and Gold Business Association. It is an important event attracting the people of
Mr Nguyen Van Bao, Deputy Director of Giang Vo Exhibition Centre, said that the fair has attracted the participation of 142 enterprises with 245 pavilions displaying and selling garments, footwear, fashion bags, leather products, cosmetics and jewels. The textile and garment sector has 198 pavilions from 110 enterprises including 90 pavilions of Vinatex, the leather and shoes sector has 20 pavilions from 13 enterprises, the jewelery has 17 pavilions from 11 enterprises and the cosmetic has 10 pavilions from 8 enterprises.
The enterprises of textile and garment, leather and shoes are strong in export and in design from textile to garment, especially those of Vinatex such as Hanosimex, Chien Thang Garment, Viet Thang Textile, Garment 10-10, Nha Be Garment, Thang Loi Textile, Duc Giang Garment and Legamex. The enterprises of Leather and Shoes Association are Giay Viet Joint Stock, Giay An Lac, Haiphong Leather Shoes and Dai Loi Joint Stock. Jewel businesses are represented by such famous trademarks as Than Chau Ngoc Viet, SJC, PNJ, and AJC.
The novelty of this year is the fashion show taking place every evening from Monday (December 20) to Sunday (December 26) with an impressive Christmas programme. The fair will also display a 7cm ring, a 5m-high shirt and a pair of pants 5m long.
