Doing Business in American Market

On December 20, 2004 the VCCI branch in Ho Chi Minh City in conjunction with EEF Enterprise, Inc. organised a seminar on doing business in the American market. Mr Eddie Fordham, President of EEF Enterprise, Inc. said that in the big American market, consumers prefer diversified and changing styles. The role of brokers is important because they represent producers.

Vietnamese entrepreneurs doing business in the American market must understand fully American law and practice. Most of the companies do not use stamps or legal papers but only signatures of competent persons.

The payment is often made in 30 days and by T/T, Domestic L/C, Visa cards or Master cards. To obtain brokers there must be attractive invitations and expenses for travel and transactions with customers must be provided to ensure successful broker missions, Mr Fordham added.
