Quality Creates Prosperity for Enterprises

The Vietnam Quality Prize and the Asia-Pacific Quality presentation ceremony with the motto 'Quality Creates Prosperity' was held recently in Hanoi by the Directorate for Standard and Quality of Vietnam.

In 2004, 95 enterprises won the Vietnam quality prize and five enterprises won the golden quality prize. Two enterprises won the Asia-Pacific Quality Prize. These were enterprises which recorded great successes in production, business and social activities. 

The Vietnam Quality Prize was first initiated in August 1995. This is a traditional prize for those enterprises which recorded great achievements in building and applying quality management systems. The prize not only honours enterprises’ trademarks but also helps them review their quality management systems for further upgrade and improvement, thus helping build their confidence.

The Vinh Long Food and Foodstuff Company is one of the five enterprises that won the Vietnam golden quality prize. Despite experiencing hard times in its early days, the company has found its foothold in the domestic and foreign markets with effective solutions. The company’s products have been exported to Asian, European, African and South American countries.

LG-Vina Cable was one of the two enterprises winning the Asia-Pacific Quality Prize. With its target of creating value to meet the customers' demand, over the past few years, the company has seen a high growth rate with 2004 revenues expected to reach US$40 million.
