No Price Hike of Important Items at Tet, Says PM
The Prime Minister has asked ministries and local authorities to have specific measures in place to control market prices during the country’s most important festival, Lunar New Year 2005, especially those of goods with high sensitivity. The State-monopoly Electricity of Vietnam has been instructed to settle with high electricity consuming organisations like cement, steel, and chemicals to reorganise production processes, ensuring enough electricity for daily life and minimising the possibility of power cuts. Ministries of Finance, Trade, Police and National Defence have been asked to strengthen cooperation in the fight against smuggling and counterfeits.
