Although women have many advantageous characters like sensitivity, subtlety, perseverance, patience, thoroughness and diligence, enabling them to behave, respond and solve their work more flexibly and effectively than men, they still face with numerous difficulties in the role of business leaders. To be successful in their career, they always have to make every effort to learn to cultivate their knowledge and advance.
In the process of international integration and development, Vietnamese women have promoted their roles and asserted their positions in society. When the economy develops and integrates more deeply and broadly, women will have more opportunities since economic integration breaks rigid gender-based labour division, allowing women to engage in the market economy and force men to share family care responsibility. Economic integration also provides them with more career opportunities.

Vietnam is gradually advancing its international economic integration. Fiercer competition will result in greater challenges. Import tax reduction and market opening for agricultural products and other commodities may destabilise employments and incomes of female agricultural workers. For women entrepreneurs and business owners, in addition to capital shortage, insufficient market information and inadequate skilled labour, education, business experience, relationship and social effects also make their business harder. Besides, the development of industries with high added economic value like financial, banking and telecom services will shrink employment and reduce incomes of female labourers since they primarily work for light industries like footwear, apparel and agro-processing.

According experts, free trade agreements (FTAs) that Vietnam joined will provide good opportunities for enterprises, particularly women-led ones. Therefore, capturing sufficient information to make good business plans is essential and key to success.

According to statistics, women-managed companies account for 20 per cent of total business entities. This shows that more women hold managerial positions and their statures will be thus uplifted. They are not only a tender wife and a resourceful mother but also an excellent woman in society. In reality, compared with men, business-led women will have to do double work and not all is confident enough to live through those obstacles. So, learning experience and enhancing leadership skills, career skills and management skills is essential for women.

Vietnam has many typical female entrepreneurs, from generation to generation. Many young women entrepreneurs are excellent at their business leadership as forerunners. Forbes Top 10 young businesswomen in 2015 featured Le Thu Thuy - Vice President of SeABank, Nguyen Thanh Phuong - President of Viet Capital Securities Company and Viet Capital Fund Management Company and Board Member of Viet Capital Bank, Le Hong Thuy Tien - President and CEO of IPP Group, Tran Nguyen Thien Huong - President of Sun Flower Media, Dang Thi Minh Phuong - President of Minh Phuong Logistics Company, Tran Thi Le - CEO of NutiFood, Hoang Ngoc Vy - CEO of Vien Thong A Company , Le Nu Thuy Duong - General Director of Huy Hoang Joint Stock Company, Dang Huynh Uc My - Former Chair of Thanh Thanh Cong Tay Ninh Sugar Joint Stock Company, and Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation.

Despite being quite young, they are confirming their own positions and roles, as well as their business leadership. Under their leadership, their companies are reaping success by success.
