National Brand: Opportunities for SMEs

The 9th Vietnam National Brand Forum, themed “National Branding Programme - Opportunities for SMEs,” recently took place in Hanoi.
 
Speaking at the forum, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Do Thang Hai, said that branding development is always a hot, urgent issue, particularly when Vietnam advances its integration into the world and opportunities are coupled with challenges. Without necessary branding measures, businesses may not be able to take advantage of opportunities.
 
Compared with ASEAN countries in National Brand Rankings, Vietnam is far left behind Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
 
Currently, the National Branding Programme is giving priority to big companies. Thus, it should provide more assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to boost their exports and sales.
