Two More Seafood Firms Given Customs Priority
Ca Mau Seafood Processing & Service Joint Stock Corporation and Can Tho Import Export Fishery Limited Company have been recently given customs priority by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, applied from August 8, 2016.
Ca Mau Seafood Processing & Service Joint Stock Corporation now earns US$150 million from exports a year. The firm exports its products to many markets in the world, particularly Australia, South Korea and the European Union (EU). The concern has four factories - two in Ca Mau province, one in Kien Giang province and another in Bac Lieu province, and has over 3,000 employees.
Can Tho Import Export Fishery Limited Company fetched over US$17 million from exports in the first six months of 2016. Its main markets included Japan, the United States and the European Union (EU). The firm has only one factory in Tra Noc Industrial Park 1 (Can Tho City) with 3 workshops and has 450 employees.
Thus, the country now has 54 companies given customs priority. Major seafood companies included Minh Phu Seafood, Soc Trang Seafood, An Giang Seafood (Agifist) and Sao Ta (Soc Trang).
