This is the attention-grabbing content of Resolution 84/NQ-CP of the Government, dated September 6, 2017. Accordingly, the Government requested the Ministry of Finance to coordinate with relevant ministries, branches and localities to carry out following requirements:
The ministry shall not increase taxes, fees and charges in 2017 to facilitate and support business and production development; seek effective measures to manage tariff collection, prevent loss, exercise thrift and strictly perform financial and budgetary discipline; consider reducing fees for enterprises; and assess impacts of proposed VAT hike.
In addition, the Government requires: Strictly controlling imports, strictly handling violations and group interests in the execution of BOT projects; reviewing, amending and abolishing unnecessary and annoying business-related procedures and conditions, and changing inspection mechanisms from pre-audit to post-audit.
