Ho Chi Minh City’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached VND775,874 billion (US$34.5 billion) in the first nine months of 2017, representing a year on year growth of 7.97 per cent, according to a report released to the 14th Meeting of the Executive Board of the 10th HCM City Party Committee held on October 3, 2017. Specifically, the service, industrial and construction sectors expanded 7.7 per cent, agriculture grew 6.2 per cent, exports looked up 15.7 per cent, and mobilised capital value rose 9.2 per cent. The city expects GRDP to climb 9.5 per cent in the fourth quarter.
To achieve this goal, HCM City will deploy solutions to mobilise capital and human resources, manage and improve the investment environment, review supply and demand, strengthen connectivity, speed up scientific and technological application to production, increase exports, reduce imports and support enterprises to do business.
