NS BlueScope Vietnam Initiates Labor Hygiene Safety Awareness and Management Sharing Program in Enterprises
On November 14, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, NS BlueScope Vietnam, in collaboration with Ba Ria - Vung Tau Industrial Zone Authority (BIZA) announced the initiation of labor hygiene safety awareness and management sharing program in enterprises targeted at improving local enterprises’ awareness on labor hygiene safety for the sake of a non-occupational-incident workplace.
The planned program is designed to incorporate a series of workshops centering on vital issues during the course of labor hygiene safety management in enterprises: A specialized workshop on “the role of enterprise managers in labor hygiene safety and fire prevention” to further discuss how to establish corporate safety culture, efficient model for safety management, identifying and controlling potential safety risks, safety checking and testing, multi-asset risk system (MARS); A field trip to Phu My I factory in Ba Ria - Vung Tau specific for corporate managerial levels to learn from NS BlueScope Vietnam’s labor safety model; And workshops in combination with factory tours focusing on sharing risk management knowledge for highly-risky occupations such as those supposed to access energy sources, labor safety for tasks carried out above the ground, fire and explosion prevention for staff directly involved.

The first session has been successfully implemented and was well received by enterprises in Dong Nai’s industrial zones.
