GDT, Vinasa Sign MOU on Cooperation in Tax Data Standard Construction

The General Department of Taxation (GDT) and the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (Vinasa) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in tax data standard development and electronic tax transaction information on November 22, 2018, in Hanoi.

GDT Deputy General Director Nguyen Dai Tri said that the General Department of Taxation has applied electronic tax declaration, payment and refund services for all enterprises nationwide. Right after the launch of electronic tax services, the General Department determined the importance of data exchange standards between the electronic tax service system and the information technology systems of units concerned. Building unified data standards has connected the IT system of the General Department of Taxation to systems of T-VAN units and commercial banks to ensure the operation of the electronic tax service system.

In order to support businesses that use sales software, accounting software and issue invoices to easily transfer information to the information technology system of the GDT, the GDT and Vinasa agreed to sign an agreement on cooperation in building electronic tax transaction data standards. Vinasa is a professional agency membered by more than 300 software and IT services businesses in Vietnam, accounting for more than 70 per cent of the sector’s revenue in Vietnam. Therefore, the cooperation with Vinasa is supported by Vinasa members. When standards are deployed to enterprises, Vinasa will be a support channel for the GDT to provide information, guidance and support for software enterprises to make timely updates.

Mr Le Xuan Hoa, Vice Chairman of Vinasa, said, tax services have great impacts on society. Facilitating IT firms to use data standards and electronic tax transaction information to design and build software applications to ensure easy connectivity of the information technology platform with the GDT to carry out electronic tax transactions is very necessary.
