The State-owned Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) on April 24 signed four credit contracts with three firms and a fund to finance their projects with total investment of VND1.7 trillion (US$108.3 million).

Accordingly, BIDV will co-operate with the Ho Chi Minh City Investment Fund for Urban Development (HIFU) to lend the Saigon Bus Co. VND468 billion (US$29.8 million) to build 1,318 new buses. The loan will have a term of 10 years.

BIDV yesterday signed an agreement to provide short-term credit worth VND310 billion (US$19.7 million) to the General Construction Corp. No.1 (GCC1) to help the company carry out construction of the Thu Thiem Bridge over Saigon River.
