Yen Son Company: Wooden Furniture Export

 

The export value of  Vietnamese wooden furniture hit US$1 million mark in 2004 and economists expect 50 per cent increase in 2005. The figure encourages Vietnamese exporters.  Yen Son Wooden Furniture Export Joint Stock Company though young but quick in meeting the market demand has increased its annual growth rates to 20-25 per cent a year. The export value will be US$4 million in 2004.

 

“Yen Son joint stock company was only established in February 2002. But the founders were already experienced entrepreneurs in forestry processing industry. The main products are wooden floors, doors and interior decoration exported to Japan, the EU and also for domestic consumption. To meet bigger demand and to increase competitiveness, the company has invested in a new production line supplying diversified and high quality products to domestic and foreign customers. The complete production line is imported from Japan and materials from Romania, Ukraine, Russia, South Africa. With new Holytek technology in semi-processing and vacuum drying, the products are strong in duration and resistance, against scratch and deformation, maintaining their natural colour and beauty. Yen Son products do not only satisfy demands of foreign customers in quality and styles but also offer competitive prices.

 

The company has registered its products ensuring customers of its trademark and supplied mainly to big projects in Vietnam and then to foreign countries. Currently, the company is increasing its production capacity to obtain 50 per cent of the market share in North Vietnam by 2006 and equal turnover for both domestic and foreign markets by 2010. The company will also increase its export to the American market. As a matter of fact, correct orientation, stable development and a good reputation have helped Yen Son company in resources supply, business conditions and environment in Vietnam.
