Ford Commences Trans-Vietnam Roadshow 2005

Ford Vietnam today started the annual Ford Trans-Vietnam Roadshow 2005 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the two largest cities in Vietnam.

This is the sixth year in a row Ford has organized the show in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In the north of Vietnam, the roadshow will start at Hanoi and travel to Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An (Vinh) and Danang. In the south, it will kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City and then move to An Giang, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Gia Lai and Dak Lak.

The 20-day roadshow will conclude on May 25.

“This year earmarks the 10th birthday of Ford Vietnam. Therefore, besides the roadshow, Ford Vietnam will launch numerous new service strategies to bring more benefits to customers such as expanding its sales network and service centers in major cities like Vinh, Haiphong, Nha Trang, Dak Lak, Quy Nhon, Lang Son, Da Lat, Vung Tau and others,” a corporate official said.

The US-invested firm will also cooperate with garages and filling stations to sell Ford genuine parts and build more spare parts supplying centers. A sales promotional program for these entities is applied until the end of July.

Ford Vietnam, set up on September 5, 1995 with a total investment of US$102 million, is now selling Ford Laser, Mondeo, Escape, Ranger and Transit. It sold 777 cars in the first three months of this year (up 23 per cent on year), holding 11.2 per cent of the market share.
