Chemical Corporation to Be Restructured by 2006

 

The Vietnam government has decided to adjust a project to restructure some affiliates under the Vietnam Chemicals Corp. (Vinachem) by 2006.

 

Accordingly, eight member companies will be equitized. Seven of them that the State holds 100 per cent of chartered capital are the Can Tho Chemicals and Fertilizer Co., Vietnam Antiseptic Co, Southern Fertilizer Co., Binh Dien Fertilizer co., Hanoi Gold Star Rubber Co, Danang Rubber Co. and Southern Rubber Industrial Co.

 

The Chemical Import and Export Co. will turn into a dependent accounting unit.

 

Five equitized companies that the State holds 50 per cent of chartered capital include the Viet Tri Chemicals Co., Hanoi Synthetic Paint Co, Plastic Paint Co., Danang Chemical Industrial Co. and Vinh Phu Battery Co.

 

Meanwhile, the Trang Kenh Calcium Carbide and Chemical Co. will be merged into the Soldering Stick Manufacturing Co.
