2005 Dat Viet Golden Star Awards to be Open Earlier

The central Vietnamese Young Businesses Association said that it would hold a ceremony to grant the prize “Dat Viet Golden Star” for outstanding businesspeople earlier than the previous two years in order to attract more and more participations of businesses.

The prize was established to encourage and honour young businesses and famous trademarks which have contributed wholeheartedly to the process of Vietnam’s integration into the world economy.

To this end, the association is currently hastening its preparation activities for officially launching the campaign early next month. The awards will be presented in Ho Chi Minh City in mid-September this year.

Twenty industry-specific products and services with no more than ten trademarks each will be competed for the prize. Selection criteria for products and services include: product quality, price, market share, technology, environmental impacts, competitive capacity, trademark promotion activity, and after-sales services.

The organisation board pledges to create favourable conditions for the award-winning businesses to conduct surveys and present their products at any trade fairs as well as to seek partners in such potential markets as Africa, South America, North America, and Japan. The board is also committed to hold a fair “Vietnamese Products in International Economy Integration” with participations of many foreign companies for sharing experiences with domestic ones and to internally and externally broadcast the prize-winning trademarks and products on the mass media.
