PT and CMS Cooperation Creates Self-confidence among Students

This is the first time for the cooperation of an academic unit and an enterprise between the PT Informatics Training Centre under the Information Technology Institute of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and CMS Co., a leading computer hardware manufacturer in Vietnam.

At the signing ceremony on May 6, 2005, Mr. Vu Duy Phong, director of the PT Centre, said that, “Training units are presently unable to provide updated general IT technologies and solutions for their students and they fail to invest a colossal amount of investments to catch up with swiftly developed technologies. The cooperation with CMS will help PT provide better training services and then professional and skilful IT engineers with practical knowledge to meet current social needs.”

Apart from traditional theoretical and practical training methodologies, trainees will have chances to experience the latest IT knowledge invented at the time of their opening courses such as working with CMS server systems and general IT solutions. The joint courses are available for various objectives such as students, enterprises and civil servants who follow under the 112 Project which focuses on computerising State administrative management to prepare for the E-Government Project. As for CMS, the extension of its operational scopes to professional service and training is a new approach apart from its traditional hardware production and solution supply.
