Pepsi recognizes the potential of the Vietnamese market and plans to turn the country into the regional center for the multinational corporation Pepsi head Mike White said Wednesday.

The chairman and CEO of Pepsico International is in Ho Chi Minh City for a working trip to reaffirm Pepsi’s long-term commitment in Vietnam.

“With its young population and high rate of social development, Vietnam has become a country of great potential,” Mr. White said, adding that Pepsi will develop a system of packaged fast food in Vietnam.

During his visit, the Pepsi head met with staff of PepsiCo Vietnam and its local dealers and distributors.

The CEO’s trip took place right after PepsiCo Vietnam was awarded the DMK Prize by the International Pepsi Group.
